  • UPCOMING - Local Mission Week

Etowah Church members: We’re planning a local mission week for the end of May, and we want your feedback and opinions!

Here’s what you need to know. This year, instead of taking an overseas or out-of-state mission trip, we feel led to instead focus on helping our community right here in Dawsonville, Georgia. So we’ve designed a “local mission week” for May 27th-30th (Tues-Fri)!

During the week, we’ll be helping out at local organizations such as:

    • The Dawson Food Bank
    • The Place Thrift Store
    • The Farm at Toccoa Falls College

We also plan to meet needs within our church family; eat a meal together each day; and give our teens the opportunity for Bible study together — and to potentially end the week with a fun event on Saturday, too.

If you and your family aren’t available for the entire week, no problem! Feel free to simply participate as you’re able, even if that’s just for a single day. And this isn’t limited to just Etowah members: Anyone and everyone is welcome to come join us as we seek to be the hands and feet of Jesus to our local community.

Are you interested and available in participating? If so, please write your name on the signup sheet at church. This doesn’t mean you’re committing to the entire week, or to anything — we just want to get a sense of how many people are free that week and would like to join in as they can.

We’re looking forward to serving our community  together this May! “As the Father has sent me, I am sending you” — John 20:21

A UNIQUE FAMILY OF BELIEVERS
